Why I do this work
My work was born from lived experience — leading and caring in systems that demanded strength at any cost. I saw how resilience was being distorted: celebrated as endurance instead of awareness, performance instead of presence.
CARES™ grew from that realisation — that sustainable leadership depends not on pushing harder, but on reflection, care, and the courage to do things differently.
With over 20 years leading transformation from the clinical frontline to the boardroom — as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, service leader, and strategic consultant — I've helped design and embed system-wide change across the NHS and beyond.
